- The Annual Meeting is held in November each year in Austin, Texas. The meeting begins on Sunday evening and ends by noon on Monday. In addition to the election of officers, a business meeting is held, along with a speaker and/or a panel discussion.
Membership Roster & Product Guide:
Known as the "purple book", this guide is published annually. It lists all members in the roster section and their product coverage's in the product section. By purchasing an ad, a member can get more free product coverages listed. The product guide is mailed to over 3500 agents in Texas, including the IIAT and FIWT members and is distributed at their conferences at the TSLA exhibit booth. In addition, our product guide is on our website.
Legislative/Regulatory:
The association is very active on legislative/regulatory issues. Our Regulatory Liaison Committee meets with the TDI five times a year to discuss current issues affecting our members. TSLA is very proactive on legislative issues that could affect TSLA members with the help of our legal counsel, Beatty Bangle Strama.
