Group activity & golf registration forms are due by June 15th
RESORT INFORMATION: Located on the natural Batiquitos Lagoon, and minutes from the Pacific Ocean, the Resort offers a full range of services and amenities, including wonderful restaurants and bars, a signature spa, luxurious guestrooms and suites, and an 18-hole Arnold Palmer designed golf course. Soak up some sun or take a refreshing dip in the sparkling 3,200-square-foot swimming pool. There is a tranquility pool, as well as a family pool. Stay in shape with their state-of-the-art fitness center and sports activities, like tennis and surfing. The hotel offers a shuttle to Moonlight state beach. Hours are 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. or 11:30 to 2:30 p.m. Cost is $11/per person round trip. Reservations required.
TRANSPORTATION: You can reach Carlsbad by flying into the San Diego International airport. Carlsbad is about 45 minutes away depending on the time of day you arrive. All major airlines fly into San Diego.
GOLF TOURNAMENT: Your golf coordinator is Paul Rainey. The tournament will be held on Monday, July 16th at the Aviara Golf Club located at the hotel. The tournament will be a SHOTGUN start at 1:00 p.m. Fees to play golf are $265 per person, which includes your box lunch, green fees, driving range fee and cart. Please be sure to register for golf using the registration form online at www.tsla.org. Golf fees may be paid by check or credit card. Please note that if you want to rent clubs you must indicate that on your registration form and pay in advance. Golf club rentals are $85 per set, and includes 6 golf balls. Please be sure to indicate your handicap or average. Teams will be assigned at a later time. If you would like to play with someone, please email Jean at email@example.com to provide names and we will try to accommodate your request. Foursome requests must be received by no later than June 1st in order to accommodate. No refunds of golf registration fees after June 25th. Golf awards will be presented at the Tuesday night banquet. SPOUSE EVENT: Join us for the Havaiana's flip flop station. Havaiana's are the World's Best Rubber flip flops manufactured in Brazil, offering hundreds of unique colors and patterns to fit your style. At the spouse event you will be able to make your own Havaiana's. Professional representatives arrive on site and assist guests to customize their very own pair of world famous Havaiana's, the most comfortable flip flop around! Each guest will be able to pick their own sole, coordinating strap, and additional embellishments (jewels, charms, etc.) Then the professional reps will assemble them right in front of your eyes so you can immediately wear them if you want. Both men's and women's flip flops will be available. This event is designed for all spouses. Hostesses this year are Sherri Leicht and Brenda Fabors. The spouse event will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon on Monday, July 16th. Light breakfast will be served, including mimosas.
There will be giveaways, including $100 cash and a $50 American Express gift card, just to name a few! Please provide an email for your spouse on the registration form, so they may be contacted directly. This is listed as a group activity event, though there is no additional cost, but please click the link to register so I know your spouse is attending.
GROUP ACTIVITIES: Optional group activities have been scheduled for both Monday and Tuesday afternoons. Please see the online registration form for more details and pricing or the group activity information on our website. Please be sure to register for the group activities that you want to participate in using the online form at www.tsla.org. If you do not wish to decide when you register about group activities, you may use the separate group activity registration later to handle. You will be notified by June 1st if a minimum was not met for an activity and the activity has been cancelled. No refunds after June 23rd! Please email Jean the names of participants at firstname.lastname@example.org if you register for group activities for more than yourself or use the add participant on the registration form to list additional attendees.
CAMP HYATT: Onsite children's program for children ages 4-12. The program is offered 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. You may register for full or 1/2 day. Please call (760) 448-1234 in advance to reserve a space for your child(ren), as they could be booked by the time you arrive. Half day cost is $90 without lunch or $100 with lunch included. Full day cost with lunch is $165 per child.
BABYSITTING: Please contact the concierge at the resort at (760) 603-3715 for babysitting arrangements. Please allow at least 72 hours to make arrangements.
SPA: Experience the Aviara Spa. Open each day and offers massages, hydrotherapy, facials, hand & foot treatments & salon services. Please call (760) 477-8610 in advance to make a reservation as they may be sold out by the time you arrive. TSLA members receive a 10% discount per our contract.
CONCIERGE: The resort has a concierge desk located in the main lobby. They can assist you with dinner reservations, local activities, transportation, etc. Direct phone# is (760) 603-3715.
TEMPERATURE: The high in the summer will be in the mid 70's for the daytime. The evening temperature will be in the mid 60's.
TEXANS UNDER 40: Please plan to participate in the private reception for the TUF group on Sunday, July 15th at 6:00 p.m. There will be door prizes.
DRESS: The dress for the entire conference will be casual (including speakers & guests). We encourage khaki slacks, shorts, polo type shirts and sundresses. Please note, the closing reception and dinner on Tuesday evening will be held outside.
CLOSING DINNER: A buffet dinner will be held outside on the Palm Courtyard. Golf awards will be presented.
CHECK IN/CHECK OUT: Check in time is 4 p.m. and check out time is 11 a.m. Luggage may be stored, if needed.
PARKING: Valet parking is provided at $20 per day, which is a reduced rate per our contract, so please make sure you are charged the correct amount upon checkout.
EXTRA EVENTS: If you plan to host an event during the TSLA conference, please be sure that your event does not conflict with any TSLA sponsored event. Park Hyatt Aviara concierge would be happy to assist you scheduling any off-site dinners.

TSLA CANCELLATION/REFUND POLICY: There are no refunds of registration fees, golf or group activity fees after June 20th.
TSLA BUSINESS MEETING: The TSLA Business Meeting will be held on Tuesday morning, July 17th. The business meeting is open to all members and non-members.
CARLSBAD INFORMATION: Whether you prefer kayaking and surfing the waves or relaxing on the sandy beach while the kids play at Aviara Kids Academy, the resort is a vacation sanctuary for the soul.
