Speakers/Topics:  "Insurance and Public Policy Issues Arising From the 911 Terrorist Attack"
-- Steven Badger, Attorney at Law, Zelle, LLP
For seven years, Dallas attorney Steven Badger served on the Plaintiffs Executive Committee leading the $5 billion subrogation action against airlines and aviation security companies alleged to have been responsible for the 9/11 Terrorist Attack. This historic litigation concluded in a $1.2 billion settlement for the participating property insurers, reportedly the largest subrogation recovery ever obtained by the insurance industry. Badger's fascinating presentation provides an inside look at the events leading up to 9/11. Badger also discusses the numerous interesting insurance and public policy issues that arose during the course of the aviation litigation, as well as the currently pending subrogation action against the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

"Relationships Still Matter in a Changing Market"
-- Bret Strickland, President, Atlantic Casualty Insurance Co.
The overall landscape that we have grown accustomed to continues to change at a rapid pace. The needs of markets, producers and buyers will continue to evolve and we must recognize the value that relationships have on each of these interactions.

"Cyber Liability: What You Need to Know"
-- Jason Bucher, AVP - Senior Account Executive - Cyber
       Victor O. Schinnerer & Company

This topic will provide a better understanding of what PCI compliance entails - this is a topic that does not get the attention it really deserves since it impacts every business who accepts payment cards (credit/debit cards).

"Insuring UAS for Public, Private and Commercial Use"
-- Terry Miller, President & Founder of Transport Risk, Inc.
Planned topics of discussion of my TSLA presentation will include:

    • UAS liability insurance
    • Types of coverage/insurance options/pilot experience requirements
    • UAS insurance requirement trends
    • UAS accident data/claims history
    • UAS Market outlook and use cases in the State of Texas
    • UAS Insurance Q&A Session

"2017 Legislative Overview - Hail Storms and a Little Old Bill"
-- Keith Strama, Partner, Beatty Bangle & Strama
An overview of the most recent legislative session.

    "SLTX: Rolling with the Changes"
-- Norma Essary, Executive Director, Surplus Lines Stamping Office of Texas
An update from the Surplus Lines Stamping Office.

Association updates will be provided by:

TRANSPORTATION: You can reach Vail by flying into the Denver International airport or the Eagle Vail airport. Denver is approximately 2 hours from the resort and the Eagle Vail airport is 35 minutes. However, please note traveling from Denver to Vail on Friday or Saturday can add additional time to your commute due to locals traveling to Vail for the weekend, so plan accordingly. Also, please note that there is construction on I-70 that may cause delays, as well. All major airlines fly into Denver and most, but not all will fly into Eagle Vail. Colorado Mountain Express can provide you transportation to & from Vail, so please call them at 970-754-7433 and use our discount code TSLA or book online via the link on the TSLA website.
