  • Hotel Reservations:
    There is link on the website at www.tsla.org for hotel information. Group room rates are $245 city view and $285 lake view. We have a limited number of rooms available for Saturday, November 11th on a first come/first serve basis.

  • Check in/Check out:
    Check in time is 3:00 p.m. Check out time is 12:00 noon. The hotel can store your bags, if needed.

  • Parking:
    Valet parking is $40 per night for those of you staying in the hotel. If you are a non-hotel guest valet parking is $14 and self-parking is $12 (limited space available). There is also public parking located near the hotel.

    • Payment:
      Registration fees may be paid by check (made payable to TSLA) or charged to your MasterCard, Visa, Discover or American Express. Please complete the credit card form online at www.tsla.org.

    • Types of Registration:
        Full registration - Includes the cocktail reception, dinner & post party on Sunday evening, plus the continental breakfast, speakers program and Business Meeting on Monday morning.

        Monday only registration - Includes the continental breakfast, speakers program and Business Meeting.

        Sunday evening registration - Includes the cocktail reception, dinner and post party.

    • First Time Attendees:
      Please note that first time attendees may attend the 2017 Annual Meeting at a reduced rate. We encourage all TSLA members to bring staff members in their office who have never attended the Annual Meeting before and take advantage of this special offer. Any first-time attendee employed by a Voting member will be provided the opportunity to apply for the Jack Claitor Scholarship. This scholarship provides a free registration for the 2018 Mid-Year meeting for the recipient and spouse, plus 3 room nights at the hotel, $250 cash award and a plaque. Those of you who qualify will be notified after the 2017 Annual Meeting.

    • Definition of First Time Attendee:
      TSLA defines a first-time attendee as someone who has never attended an Annual Meeting before. Attending the Annual Meeting again with another agency does not qualify.

    • Texans under Forty:
      If you are 40 & under you may register at the discount rate for the Annual Meeting. This registration rate applies whether you are a first-time attendee or a returning attendee. The only qualification is to be 40 & under. I encourage all of the TSLA member firms to bring at least one 40 or under staff member to the 2017 Annual Meeting! Please note that you have two events this year. Community Service event on Monday afternoon, 12:45-4:30 p.m. and your own private "meet & greet" reception on Sunday afternoon, 5:30-6:30 p.m.

    • Registration Times:
      Registration will be held 4:45-7:15 p.m. on Sunday, November 12th and on Monday, November 13th beginning at 7:45 a.m.

    • Meals:
      A plated dinner will be served on Sunday evening, 7:15-8:30 p.m. Breakfast will be served on Monday morning, 7:45-8:30 a.m.

    • Dress:
      Dress for the Sunday evening reception and dinner is business attire. Dress for Monday morning is business casual.

    • Giveaways:
      A registration for the 2018 Mid-Year Meeting will be given away during the Business Meeting on Monday morning. Tickets will be distributed on Monday morning. You must be a TSLA member and you must be present to win. We will also have other door prizes.

    • 2018 TSLA Committees
      Volunteer forms for 2018 Committees will be available at the TSLA registration desk throughout the conference. Please complete a form to volunteer to serve in 2018.

    • Cocktail Reception:
      The cocktail reception begins at 6:00 p.m. for new members, first time attendees and sponsors. For all other attendees the cocktail reception begins at 6:30 p.m. Two open bars will be available.

    • Sunday dinner:
      Join us Sunday night at the plated dinner. TSLA guests will be introduced and photos from the 2017 Mid-Year Meeting will be shown.

    • Austin Style Post Party:
      Join us for our "Austin style post party" right inside the Four Seasons hotel! A full open bar with cordials available with mini desserts. We will have a cigar roller, football lounge, open-air photo booth with iconic scenes, two pin ball machines and a vodka tasting station. You may mix and mingle in the relaxed setting as the evening winds down.

    • Texans under Forty Community Service Event:
      Texans under 40 should plan to stay after the business meeting ends on Monday, November 13th to with preparing care packages for the troops. Lunch will be provided. A list will be emailed ahead of time for items needed. The hotel can store your luggage for you. Please plan to dress casually & comfortably for this event.

    • Monday Speakers:
      Please be sure to join us on Monday morning for the speaker's program.

    • Other events & TSLA logo:
      Please do not schedule any events that conflict with any TSLA sponsored event during the Annual Meeting. Also, please do not use the TSLA logo in any promotional material without prior approval from TSLA.

    • Business Meeting:
      The TSLA Business Meeting is open to all TSLA members and non-members. However, voting is open to Voting members only. The following presentations will be made during our Business Meeting:

        Rick Dudney, Chairman, IIAT - has been invited
        Norma Essary, Executive Director, Surplus Lines Stamping Office of Texas

      In addition, the 2017 Avrohm Wisenberg Scholarship winners will receive their award.

    • Sponsorships:
      Sponsorships are available for purchase for the 2017 Annual Meeting. All sponsors will be recognized at the opening of our program on Monday, November 13th.     • Free Joe Vincent Seminar Registration:
      All Voting/Provisional member attendees will have the chance to win a free 2018 Joe Vincent seminar registration. The free registration will be awarded to one TSLA Voting member during the Business Meeting on Monday morning. You must be present to win. This free registration has been generously donated to TSLA by the Independent Insurance Agents of Texas.
